Naga Siromani: Grassroots Woman of the Year

Naga Siromani belongs to West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. She used to sell vegetables to support her family of eight. Now an entrepreneur running an e-Seva Centre she has employed fifteen workers supporting their families. Each employee earns around 5,000 rupees a month. Her center offers services like collection of utility bills and issuing birth and death certificates and so on. The center duplicates as a computer learning school for local school children during after school hours in addition to selling traditional products like lace through the system.
