Citibank: SME Enabler

Citibank is perhaps the only bank in the country that focuses very closely on small and medium enterprises. As several of the 5,000 SMEs that Citibank has in its portfolio testify – they didn’t go to the bank, the bank came to them. The bank’s biggest USP, is that once it has assessed the firm’s needs, strengths, and future promise, it does not ask for any traditional collateral, usually the stumbling block that all SMEs in the country face when they go looking for bank loans.
