NIC has constituted the Panchayat Informatics Division to support the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in its automation exercise as well as coordinate with the states for successful implementation of e-Governance in Panchayati Raj Institutions. e-Panchayat has already been rolled out in 25 districts in Andhra Pradesh; soon to cover 470 districts. As may as 11 states have started e-governance implementation process. NIC has also developed a Fund Transfer Software that facilitates direct transfer of grants to PRIs leading to transparency in fund allocation receipt and release.
